Jazz, Tap and Ballet (Trinity School): Rosie Parton BA (Hons) LTCL IPGCE

Rosie graduated from the three year Professional Musical Theatre course at The Urdang Academy, London and has a BA (Hons) Theatre from the Guildford School of Acting. Rosie has gained her Licentiate Diploma in Musical Theatre Teaching from Trinity College London and holds an International Postgraduate Certificate of Education.  She is also a qualified gymnastics instructor. Rosie comes from a family of performers, both parents having trained at The Royal College of Music and she is a professional standard Cellist.

Professional performance credits include; Chess the Musical (Toronto) directed & choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood, Julie in Streetfighter (Short film), Jack & the Beanstalk as Princess Jill and Beauty and the Beast as Beauty (The Shaw Theatre), Shout! (Stardust Theatre, Miami), Guys and Dolls (Richmond Theatre), NCL cruise (Jean Ann Ryan), various pantomimes as ensemble, ITV’s Everybody Dance Now, CBeebies “The Summer Song” and choreographed “The Birthday Song”, BBC1’s Children in Need and various cruise, gala and concert performances at venues including Sadler’s Wells and The Royal Albert Hall.

Rosie has taught Advanced Jazz at Pineapple Studios London and has choreographed for St Mary’s School, Ascot.  Rosie is Head of Drama at Knightsbridge School. Rosie also choreographs and directs for the Easter Theatre School and the Summer Theatre School at The Theatre at the Mill, Newtownabbey, Belfast.

Rosie has taught at the Guildford Theatre School since it opened and for the Guildford Summer Youth Projects since they began.

Jazz, Tap and Ballet (Beverley Hall School): Katie Schoen DDI

Katie graduated with a diploma in Professional Musical Theatre from Bird College, where she also gained her Diploma in Dance Instruction in Modern Dance with the ISTD.

Professional dance engagements include several contracts with Celebrity X Cruises, first as a Production Dancer, then as Speciality Dancer performing aerial elements specialising in Quad trapeze, progressing to Aerial Captain.

A qualified dance teacher with the ISTD, Katie has also taught ballroom lessons.  Katie teaches for a wedding dance agency choreographing first dances, and is a licensed Zumba instructor and teaches ISTD Tap, Ballet and Jazz throughout Surrey.

Katie joined the Guildford Theatre School team in 2016 and has been part of the team for the Guildford Summer Youth Projects since 2017.  Katie joined the Easter Theatre School team at the Theatre at the Mill, Newtownabbey, Belfast in 2017.

Jazz (GLive School): Mark Parton BA (Hons) LTCL DDI

Mark graduated from The Urdang Academy having trained in Professional Musical Theatre and has a BA (Hons) Theatre from the Guildford School of Acting.  Mark has gained his Licentiate Diploma in Musical Theatre Teaching from Trinity College London and is a member of the ISTD.

Performance credits include: Bloch Fashion Show at Move It! (Dancer and choreographer), professional tap dancer  at the London 2012 Olympics opening ceremony (directed by Danny Boyle), Beauty and the Beast and Jack and the Beanstalk pantomimes (Dance Captain, The Shaw Theatre, London), Singer/Dancer for Jean Ann Ryan Productions and NCL Productions, featured artist on StreetDance (Channel 4) with ‘Karizma Krew’, plus corporate work across Europe and Qatar. Mark also choreographed Geek! A New Musical (Tristan Bates Theatre, London).

Mark is the Drama and Dance teacher at Great Walstead School.  He has taught dance for the Guildford School of Acting, Urdang Academy and also at Knightsbridge School.

Mark has been on the faculty at the Guildford Theatre School and the Guildford Summer Youth Project team since 2014. He has been a part of the creative team for the Easter Theatre School and the Summer Theatre School at The Theatre at the Mill, Newtownabbey, Belfast since 2013.

Ballet (Trinity School): Anna McNamara BA MA Ed ATCL DDI FRSA SFHEA

Anna has a BA Theatre Studies from Rose Bruford College and an MA in Education. She trained in Musical Theatre at the Guildford School of Acting, where she was awarded the school’s Choreography Award.  Anna has achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the University of Gloucestershire, is a member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and holds an Associate Diploma from Trinity College London in Principles of Instrumental/Vocal Teaching.  Anna is currently researching a PhD in Actor Training through the University of Birmingham and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

As a performer she appeared in numerous commercials, voiceovers and photographic shoots, performed in ten pantomimes, taking leading roles in many, and in concerts, galas and cabarets at venues including the Royal Festival Hall and Sadler’s Wells.  She has directed and choreographed for numerous fringe venues in London, regional venues and as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.  As a writer, her plays for children have been performed across the UK and as far afield as South Africa.

Since 1999 she has been a teacher of dance, drama and singing. Anna is Director of Learning and Teaching at the Guildford School of Acting. Anna has taught at Arts Educational School London, Battersea Arts Centre, London Academy of Performing Arts, Pinnacle Academy Overseas Workshops (Italy, Spain and Greece), Polka Children’s Theatre, PPAcademy, Redroofs Theatre School, Stagecoach Theatre Arts (as a teacher trainer both in the UK and in Germany) and St. Mary’s School, Ascot, where she was Teaching and Learning Coordinator and has been an examiner for AQA GCSE Drama.

Anna is the founder of the Guildford Summer Youth Project and Guildford Christmas Youth Project, Electric Theatre, Guildford, and produces the annual Easter and Summer Theatre Schools at The Theatre at the Mill, Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland.
