A huge congratulations to all of our ISTD Jazz and Tap students who achieved our best ever results in the latest examination session!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that, due to overwhelming demand, we shall be extending the Guildford Theatre School in September 2015 to include our new Inters classes for students age 11-14.


Congratulations to Junior pupil Ellie, who will be performing at the Royal Albert Hall in the soloist role of Dora in The Freedom Game, a new work with words by Sir Richard Stilgoe, in May as part of this year’s Magna Carta commemorations, and to fellow Junior pupil Honor who has been cast as her understudy.  What an amazing opportunity! We are very proud of you both!

We are so excited for all the forthcoming performances this year!  Our drama students will be performing at The Electric Theatre, Guildford in June this year as we celebrate the best of the Bard in Brush Up Your Shakespeare

This year the Guildford Theatre School’s talented Musical Theatre, Singing and Dance students will be performing at GLive in Once Upon A Musical, a thrilling evening of music, dance and song from musicals inspired by the world’s greatest stories.

The Guildford Summer Youth Projects 2015 are set to be our biggest and most exciting yet!  This year we celebrate our eighth year of GSYP with four week long projects at The Electric Theatre, Guildford for ages 4-7 years and 8-16 years and proudly introduce our two week project which will rehearse and perform at GLive to a public audience!

MARCH 2015

Congratulations to Senior pupil Phillip, who has been awarded places on courses at both East 15 and Trinity Laban.

Well done to Senior pupil JoJo who has won the title of ‘Best Speaker’ in the Guildford District Round of the ‘Youth Speaks’ National Competition.

Our musical theatre, Singing and Drama students enjoyed phenomenal success in their recent Trinity examinations.  Over 175 entries from ages 5 to 19, gaining grades 1 to 8 with Distinctions.  Well done everyone on your extraordinary achievements!

MAY 2015

Well done to Senior pupil Jess on gaining a place in the cast of YMT:UK’s Plymouth show this summer!

Junior pupils Ellie, Honor and Senior pupil Keir were joined by Lucy, Eleanor, Niamh and Gemma at the Royal Albert Hall, performing in the new opera by Richard Stilgoe The Freedom Game, which Honor also performed in at Runnymede as part of the national Magna Carta celebrations.

JUNE 2015

Senior pupil Keir enjoyed standing ovations alongside Hugo Weaving and Philip Quast at the Barbican, as part of the cast of Waiting for Godot.

Huge congratulations to Junior pupils Isabel and Lottie who will be appearing in this year’s pantomime at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.  We look forward to watching you!

70 fantastically talented drama students performed in our first ever drama show Brush Up Your Shakespeare at The Electric Theatre, Guildford on Sunday 28th June to a sold out house.  Students as young as 7 tackled Shakespeare’s texts, including abridged versions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, Twelfth Night and MacBeth.

An enormous GTS congratulations to Junior pupil Lucy, who has been cast as Brigitta in the UK tour of The Sound of Music.  We are very proud of you Lucy!

JULY 2015

Many of our students were part of the Guildford Youth Theatre cast of Grease, performed at The Electric Theatre, Guildford to a sell out house.

138 young performers took to the main G Live stage, delivering outstanding performances as part of our end of year show Once Upon A Musical. The students were ably supported by a huge team of chaperones and technical staff, and cheered on by a very supportive and large audience! Thank you to all who contributed to this amazing event!


This summer we worked with 350 children in 18 performances, utilising 13 creatives/teachers, across 9 separate productions in 3 different venues, using over 650 costumes, all in the space of two months and one day! THANK YOU for a truly extraordinary summer everyone!


Congratulations to GTS Junior boys Sam and Logan who have been cast in ‘The War of the Roses’ at the Rose Theatre Kingston, working with Joely Richardson, directed by Trevor Nunn.  What a brilliant opportunity for our students.  Well done boys, we are very proud of you!

Inters student Maddie had a wonderful time filming for the BBC.  We cannot wait to watch you on the screen Maddie!


Senior pupil Keir continues to enjoy professional opportunities as he takes to the stage in Medea at the Gate Theatre.
